柿渋染めをした古い鯉のぼりを使って仕立てた、存在感たっぷりの一点ものバッグです。

鯉のぼりならではの大胆な柄と、長く使われてきた布の風合いをそのまま活かして、普段使いしやすいバッグに仕立てました。

今回は持ち手を少し長めの約52cmにして、肩にかけても使える長さにしています。

開口部はゴム仕様で、荷物の出し入れがしやすく、中身が見えにくいのも嬉しいポイント。
荷物を入れるとふんわりと丸みのあるシルエットになり、やさしい雰囲気が生まれます。

マチも10cmあるので、見た目以上に収納力があります。

表側と裏側で柄の表情が異なるのもポイント。
持つ向きによって雰囲気が変わるので、その日の気分で楽しんでいただけます。

使い込まれた鯉のぼりならではの色合いや風合い、多少の色あせや生地の表情も、このバッグの魅力のひとつです。

Vintage Japanese Koinobori Bag

A unique, one-of-a-kind bag made from a vintage Japanese koinobori (carp streamer), full of character and charm.

The bold, distinctive design of the koinobori and the natural character of the well-loved fabric have been preserved, while creating a bag that is easy to use for everyday life.

The handles have been made slightly longer, approximately 52 cm (20.5 in), so the bag can comfortably be carried over the shoulder.

The opening is elasticized, making it easy to put in and take out your belongings while also helping to keep the contents from being easily visible. When filled, the bag takes on a softly rounded silhouette, creating a gentle and relaxed look.

With a 10 cm (3.9 in) gusset, it also offers more room than its appearance might suggest.

Another charming feature is that the front and back have different patterns and expressions. Enjoy changing the look of the bag depending on which side you carry facing outward.

The natural colors, texture, slight fading, and unique character of the well-loved koinobori fabric are all part of this bag’s charm.
